For studying to be a success, the conditions must also be right. The Studentenwerk Magdeburg offers 1,658 places in halls of residence with individual facilities in Magdeburg and Wernigerode. Our offer is diverse. Single apartments, shared flats, accommodation for the disabled or studying with children – you’ll find what you’re looking for here!

In Magdeburg, we offer accommodation in 12 halls of residence with a capacity of approx. 1,400 rooms on 3 different campuses. All halls of residence have been thoroughly renovated step by step in recent years and the rooms have been adapted to suit requirements. The outdoor facilities also invite people to come together.
In Wernigerode, we offer accommodation in 5 halls of residence with a capacity of approx. 245 rooms. Four student residences are located directly on the idyllic, park-like campus. On the outskirts of the town, between the Harzblick and Charlottenlust districts, there is another hall of residence surrounded by greenery, some with a view of the Brocken.
All dormitories are equipped with an internet connection and the additional costs for e.g. heating, water, electricity, garbage collection as well as internet and cable TV are already included. Because we know that every student wants to design their living space individually, we provide ample opportunity to do so by offering a wide range of apartments.
