IKUS and InterKultiTreff

IKUS (Intercultural Students) is an intercultural student community coordinated by the Studentenwerk and Otto von Guericke University. It supports international students in Magdeburg and helps them connect with other students. IKUS organizes various events, such as game nights, karaoke, barbecues, outings, and excursions.

In addition, IKUS offers advice and support to international students and helps new students get settled in Magdeburg.

If you want to make new friends, are looking for leisure activities, need advice from other students, or would like to volunteer with IKUS, you can visit the IKUS office or the InterKultiTreff (IKT).

The InterKultiTreff (IKT) is a meeting place for intercultural exchange between international and German students, as well as among international students at Magdeburg’s universities. The IKT is located on the university campus on the ground floor of Dormitory 9 at Walther-Rathenau-Straße 19 (entrance across from the library).

If you’d like to organize an event yourself, you can also rent the IKT—there’s just a cleaning fee. If you’re interested, please contact IKUS or the International Coordinator.
