If you rent an apartment or a house, you pay service charges in addition to your rent (electricity, etc.), usually as a monthly advance payment. Once a year, these payments are compared with the actual costs incurred. The result may be an additional payment or a refund. This comparison is called the annual utility bill, which landlords are only allowed to issue if it has been agreed upon in the rental contract.
Together with the Consumer Advice Center, we will explain
- how to read and understand the utility bill correctly
- how to save resources and reduce costs as a result
Feel free to bring your own utility bill and get your questions answered on the spot!
