The “Theatre in English” course of the Studentenwerk Magdeburg presents “100 People”, a short comedy about navigating the Kafkaesque German bureaucracy. Through absurd dialogue and inspired in real life episodes, the play explores the shared struggle for personal connection buried under heaps of paperwork.

“Mensch Mustermensch” ist eine improvisierte Geschichte in drei Akten, präsentiert von der Improtheatergruppe Taktlos!
Was erwartet euch? Eine Langform-Impro-Show voller Überraschungen, Emotionen und eurem ganz persönlichen Einfluss. Gemeinsam erzählen wir die Lebensgeschichte eines Menschen, der alles daran setzt, seinen Traum zu verwirklichen. Doch der Weg dorthin ist steinig – mit Hindernissen, die ihr bestimmt, und Wendungen, die kein Drehbuch vorhersehen kann. Lasst euch diese mitreißende Mischung aus Kreativität, Interaktion und Improvisation nicht entgehen.

Ab Dezember öffnet das Lerncafé im CampusTheater (hinter Wohnheim 7) wieder montags bis donnerstags von 17 bis 20 Uhr seine Türen für euch. Trefft euch hier für eure Gruppenarbeiten oder lernt zusammen in gemütlicher Atmosphäre.

We know a student job can be quite challenging. Not only because it is exhausting to work while studying, but also because there are many rules and laws in Germany that are uncharted territory for many of you. Therefore, we would like to invite you to our seminar How to Work in Germany – Your Rights & Obligations on the German Labour Market:

This seminar provides an overview on the rights and obligations for international students on the German Labour Market (Part-Time Jobs, Internships,…). We will also talk about standards of German Employment Contracts, Remuneration, protection against dismissal, working hours, labour and health protection & regulations of the immigration authority. At the end of the seminar, we will show you where you can go if you have any questions or problems regarding your employment and you will have the opportunity to ask your questions right away.
The seminar is free of charge and hold in English by an experienced trainer of the advisory service BemA. BemA provides information and consultation as well as support for migrant workers regarding the German Labour Market and consists of advisory service centres and outreach teams. The team of BemA is multilingual and can be approached in different languages. The Services of BemA are always confidential and free of charge.
It is addressed to international students at the Otto von Guericke University, the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences and the Harz University of Applied Science. Places are limited.
