CreativeWorkshops<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Our creative workshops offer a good opportunity to “get a taste” and “live it up” – regardless of whether you are an advanced or beginner. Our workshop leaders give tips & advice, offer inspiration & space to try things out for yourself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The courses take mainly place in German. However, many of our workshop leaders speak English and provide support with understanding if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The courses take place in the rooms of the creative workshops in the basement of J.-G.-Nathusius-Ring 1 and 2 (WH 2 and 3) and at JoGo, formerly CampusTheater, at dormitory 7 in Magdeburg. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students: 20,00 \u20ac per course (except ceramic courses)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ceramic courses for students: 35,00 \u20ac per course<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ceramic<\/h2>\n\n\n\n


In this creative workshop, you will craft unique ceramic pieces based on your own ideas. You will learn various hand-building techniques as well as how to work on the potter’s wheel. You can personalize your creations using sgraffito, stamping, incising, or glazes. Expert guidance is provided, and all necessary materials are supplied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Painting & Graphics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cArt washes the dust of everyday life from the soul.\u201d\n\nThe workshop leader provides guidance and information on painting and drawing techniques using pencil, charcoal, gouache, acrylic, and pastels, as well as tips for creating linocuts. The focus is on supporting your own projects and creativity. Participants also work together on nature studies. All materials are provided\u2014simply bring your ideas and imagination!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Textile design<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Fabrics, colors, shapes – and your ideas! In this workshop, you will learn the basics of sewing and bring your own creative projects to life. Whether it\u2019s minor alterations, home textiles, or a self-designed garment: from the initial sketch and cutting the fabric to realizing your own design, you can experiment and create a truly unique, one-of-a-kind piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wool & Yarn<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Together, we explore the creative possibilities of working with wool and yarn. Beginners learn the fundamentals of knitting and crochet, while those with more experience receive practical assistance and tips for their own ideas and projects. The result: hats, scarves, gloves, socks, or unique home accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Improv theater<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Together, we explore the fundamentals of improv theater: spontaneous play, making and accepting offers, physical expression, and action and reaction. The focus is on various short-form games. At least one group performance is planned for the end of the course. The course is conducted in German.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theater in English<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Together, we will explore key acting techniques, including text and character work, stage presence, creative play and scene development. The course welcomes anyone interested in performing in English, regardless of previous experience. A public performance at JoGo (formerly the Campus Theatre) is planned for the end of the semester, featuring a short sketch developed during the course. The course takes place in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Photography digital<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this course, you will learn about the relationships between aperture, shutter speed and ISO value and the basics of image composition. We will apply what we have learned on photo tours. Please bring your own digital camera, a freshly charged battery and other photo accessories. The course is in German only. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
