The ISIC (International Student Identity Card) is the only worldwide-recognized card, and by owning one, one can identify himself or herself as a Highschool student/ or student and qualify for reduced prices, which are also applicable in their home countries.

With the ISIC card you receive special pricing for bus, train, ferries and international flights at approximately 80 airlines.  This card also affords you reduced prices at museum and gallery visits, rooms at hotels and tickets to sporting events.

Behind the ISIC stand more than 120 traveling organizations from more than 90 countries, which have joined to make this card available.  The card belongs  to the 'Dach' special youth and travel organizations, where members enjoy special rates in their home countries and international travel. 

On the ISCI card is a helpline number where one can get free information about health regulations or Visa rules. Also, in case of emergency one can call the helpline number 24 hours each day.

Which documents do you need to apply for the ISIC?

• The student card or the actual certification of matriculation
• Passport or identity card
• Passport Picture

The ISIC 2008/2009 costs 12,00 € and is valid untils the 31. December. 2009.  The International student card is always valid from the 1st of September of that year until the 31st of December 2009 of the following year.
