Promotion independent from parents
The promotion independent from parents is the best form of promotion, because you do not need to proof the income of your parents. This decision made by the student grant office applies for students under the following circumstances:
- If you begin your studies after your 30th birthday (compare the demand point 9! )
- If you begin your studies after your 18th birthday and you were employed for five years (times of employment do not need to correlate, they can be put together from multiple time periods)
- After a minimum of a three year apprenticeship, three years of employment or if a shorter apprenticeship period and longer employment took place, so that a time frame of six years took place.
Note:
As employment also counts the time one has spent at the military and the social services, as well as times he received unemployment benefits I. However, the income had to be enough to support themselves. Further information can be received at the student grant office.
