Moving out is possible after a given termination notice or after completion of the rental agreement. Please pay attention to the regulations of the "General rental conditions", points 11 and 12. Please stick to the following policies and procedures:
1. Cancellations need to be done in a written form, dated, after a eight week notice to the end of the month until the latest the third business day at the Studentenwerk Magdeburg, subject field living, Johann-Gottlob-Nathusius-Ring 5 (student housing 7) room 343 or 345. You receive a cancellation form and a sheet for `discharge of damage claims" at the end of your rental agreement.
2. You have to set an appointment with the concierge the latest at 11 am on the day the rental agreement expires (business day), so that he looks at the rental property 14 days prior to the move and the moving date and that the rental property can be turned over. The concierge confirms the return on your de-registration form and makes a protocol about the current condition of the room and the cleanness of the windows, the completion of the furniture, the completion of any other items as well as meter reading (if this applies) on the turn over protocol, which you should sign as well. If damages occur on the day of move, they will be deducted from the deposit or an invoice will be written for it.
3. If you want to unsubscribe the data connection, please do so in the computer center/contact office.
4. The cancellation form, as well as the turn over protocol the concierge will give to the student home management. After that withdrawing the rental fees will be stopped and the reimbursement process of the deposit and the credit will be started.
5. After the end of a fiscal year the billing for the utility costs takes place, if there was a payoff agreed on. The reimbursement of the deposit may need a time period up to 6 month.
6. If the rented items are returned late the landlord is entitled for damages claims after paragraph § 546a.
